The 2017 Community Legal Centres QueenslandConference is being held on the Gold Coast, at the Mantra Legends Hotel, Surfers Paradise, so get ready to for some sun, sand and sea to accompany the information conference events.
The event takes place 8 to 9 May 2017. The conference is a fantastic opportunity to meet with a diverse range of people from across the state involved in community legal centres including centre directors and lawyers, social workers, volunteers and decision makers. There will be a wide variety of panel discussions, presentations and workshops relevant to both the community legal sector and the wider legal community.
The conference provides delegates with the chance to network with other people in the field, broaden and strengthen their skillls and enhance and develop their knowledge.

The Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner at the Surfers Paradise LIfe Saving Club will be an opportunity to network with delegates. The dinner will be held on Monday the 8th of May from 6.30-9.30pm and is one of the most popular events of the conference calendar.

What CPD Points will I get for attending the conference?

There are many different public transport options for you to get to the Mantra Legends Hotel for the conference. If you’re arriving into the Gold Coast Airport, take Bus 777 to Broadbeach South Station. There, transfer to the G-Link Tram towards Gold Coast University Hospital and get off at the Surfers Paradise stop. Walk north along Surfers Paradise Blvd – the hotel is down the second street on your right. This journey takes approximately 55minutes.
Coming from Brisbane, take the Gold Coast Train which starts at the Domestic Airport and goes through Central and Roma St Stations. Alight at Nerang Station and transfer to Bus 740 which will take you to Cypress Ave, Surfers Paradise. Walk south along Surfers Paradise Blvd for about 900m, the hotel will be on your left. When leaving from Central Station, this journey takes approximately 2hours.
