Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman visits us

Community Legal Centres Queensland recently hosted a roundtable with the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman and Brisbane based social services, financial counsellors and community lawyers.

The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman provides an independent dispute resolution service for small business and residential customers who have a complaint about their telephone or internet service in Australia. 

At the meeting, we talked about clients that faced challenges using phone and internet services, and ways that we could ensure they get the services they need, deserve and pay for. We also talked about ways we could work more closely, to make sure that consumers can assert their rights.
