Queensland Law Society aspires to lead the profession by educating practitioners on the severity of mental health concerns in the industry. Become an accredited Mental Health First Aider, increase your understanding of the issues and learn to recognise and respond to your co-workers in need.
This course is purpose built for the legal profession and consists of eLearning and a face-to-face workshop presented by Belinda Winter.
It’s an unfortunate fact that legal practitioners are statistically more likely to suffer from mental health concerns. Becoming an accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider) gives you the skills and knowledge to recognise and assist a co-worker with a mental health problem. This blended accreditation course has been purpose built to address the unique needs of the legal profession.
This session requires 6-8 hours of completed pre-learning before attending the course and is followed by a brief online assessment. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a digital PDF Certificate of Accreditation by MHFA Australia.
This event is an initiative of Queensland Law Society Wellbeing Working Group.
