For anyone working in Wills and Estates practice, having an understanding of the facilitative mediation process is invaluable. The College is offering a dedicated, four-day practical workshop conducted by practitioners in the field and centred on Wills & Estates Practice.
The program provides real world scenarios based on common issues dealt with by Wills & Estate Practitioners, allowing you to practice the skills required to effectively mediate disputes in this practice area. Graduates of this program will be eligible to enroll in the NMAS assessment program.
Our faculty of trainers and coaches include the most highly regarded mediation professionals in Australia and Asia. The course will be conducted by Linda Kochanski and Mieke Brandon. Both practitioners have experience as Wills and Estates mediators. As well as having published in this area, Mieke is a co-author of Mediating with Families.
The Nationally Accredited Mediator Training Program can be completed on its own, or in conjunction with The College of Law’s National Mediation Assessment. Both the training program and the assessment must be successfully completed for attendees to become a Nationally Accredited Mediator, under the NMAS.
The College of Law is a registered training provider of mediation training programs, compliant with the current National Mediator Accreditation Scheme (NMAS).
