Townsville Community Law

Due to coronavirus COVID-19 public health warnings, Townsville Community Law closed it's physical office to the public on Monday 23 March 2020. It will remain closed until further notice. Evening advice services have also been temporarily suspended. Legal advice and assistance is still available by telephone with all TCL staff members operating in a safe and secure online capacity. Please call 07 4721 5511 to make an appointment. 

Townsville Community Law provides information and referral, legal assistance, casework (within guidelines), outreach services, and community legal education.

Townsville Community Law does not offer advice regarding commercial matters and native title. The service does not advise landlords and business owners.

This centre services Townsville and surrounds. For the centre's Social Security Rights Service they offer advice for residents from Sarina to the top of Australia and to the Northern Territory border.

Office hours:

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (closed 1:00pm to 2:00pm each day).

After hours service on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 7:30pm, by appointment only. 

Telephone advice: by appointment - limited assistance to remote clients.

Family law advice available by appointment on Tuesday evening.
