DV Capacity Building for CLCs Webinar: Identifying and triaging DV issues in CLCs

Clients experiencing domestic violence may not always present to a community legal centre identifying this as their issue. Community legal centre staff and volunteers may need to work through various legal and social issues to ensure that domestic violence is not missed.

Our presenters, Helen Wallace and Ros Williams, have a couple of decades’ work at Caxton Legal Centre between them. Helen is the Senior Social Worker in Caxton’s Seniors Legal Advice and Support Service; Ros is a lawyer in Caxton’s Human Rights and Civil Law Practice and has been co-ordinating Tuesday night evening advice sessions for many years.

Helen and Ros are very well-placed to present this webinar to highlight the importance of identifying domestic violence issues, and how to ensure that they are not missed and the response provided is appropriate – even on the busiest days!
