Sarah* went to Goondiwindi Community Legal Centre requesting urgent legal advice, and a referral to Toowoomba Legal Aid was processed. After this, she needed further assistance regarding property settlement. Advice was given regarding her separation and property settlement, giving Sarah a peace of mind and direction as to her rights and responsibilities in relation to the matter. Sarah was then referred to Centrelink to apply for eligible assistance in relation to rental assistance, to Child Support to apply for support in relation to her two children and has requested further assistance from the Centre’s Rural Family Support Service.
Sarah was very overwhelmed with the tasks she had to undertake to ensure she was getting the appropriate (and still ongoing) support and extremely grateful for the information and advice obtained.
