Sue wanted to sign off on an agreement for her two young children to live with their father full-time. The agreement left the father with all of their net assets. She had been worn down by years of emotional and financial abuse and believed she was going to get what she was entitled to. She was determined to accept the offer and sign off on it.
However, after an initial appointment and then follow-up meetings with lawyers from Suncoast Community Legal Service, Sue was prepared to provide instructions to negotiate with her ex-husband’s solicitor.
Suncoast Community Legal Service managed to secure an almost 50:50 division of assets, and an order that the children could live with their mother and spend time with their father.
