When violence affects your tenancy

Queensland’s residential tenancies laws can help a person who wants to change their living arrangements after an act of violence. Tenants have options to move out of the premises, or stay and have the tenancy transferred into their name and the perpetrator’s name removed.

In this webinar, Julie Bartlett from Tenants Queensland discussed options for clients who want to stay or go, their legal rights and responsibilities regarding ending or changing tenancy agreements, what QCAT will consider, debt disputes and tenancy databases.
