Are you working with clients who are a victim of crime or responsible for a crime?
Adult Restorative Justice Conferencing (ARJC) brings people together to address the harm caused by crime. ARJC is a safe place for the person harmed by a crime and the person who caused the harm to meet and talk about what happened and how they were impacted, and to agree on what needs to be done to make things right.
In this webinar, Casey Crocket and Emma Yates from Adult Restorative Justice Conferencing (The Dispute Resolution Branch, Department of Justice and Attorney General) will discuss:
- history of Adult Restorative Justice Conferencing (ARJC) in Queensland,
- where ARJC fits in the overall structure of criminal justice and dispute resolution,
- the ARJC process,
- the benefits of ARJC
-
accessing ARJC,
- how we consider safety and risk, and assess suitability for conferencing, and
-
restorative outcomes.
