Visa Cancellations

This CPD will be presented by Angus Francis and will cover visa cancellations. Angus will be examining particular visa cancellation issues that can arise for people from refugee backgrounds.

Our presenter Angus Francis is Executive Director and Principal Solicitor of the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service.  He is the Chair of the Queensland Law Society Migration Law Advisory Committee. Angus has over 30 years experience representing refugee and migrants before the Department, tribunals and courts. He has a PhD in international refugee law from ANU and is the author of two books (Norms of Protection and Protection of Refugees and Displaced Persons in the Asia Pacific Region) and numerous book chapters, articles, reports and submissions.  He has developed and taught courses and clinics on immigration and refugee law at Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, and most recently, at the Charles Darwin University.

This webinar brings CPD points for lawyers and migration agents subject to the rules of your state law society and MARA (agents note that it will change from a Category A workshop (WK2579-1) into a Category B seminar (SM251-1) if participant numbers are over 30).
