QLeave administers the portable long service leave scheme for community service workers (including CLCs) in Queensland. Portable long service leave is the paid leave given to workers in their service to the industry, rather than continuous service to one employer. In the two and a half years since the scheme commenced there are now over 97,000 workers and more then 1400 employers registered in the scheme.
